THE 2013 ROTAX CAN-AM PRO KART CHALLENGE Rotax Max and Superkarts! USA are coming to Canby, OR JUNE 14-16!
NEWBURG,OR- The ‘Can-Am’ name is a popular one in the world of motorsports, it has for years been bringing together the most talented drivers at tracks in Canada and the United States. That same philosophy is again, being put into place for karting’s elite drivers and teams of the Rotax Max Challenge Series in the Pacific Northwest area.
New for 2013 is the Rotax Can-Am Pro Kart Challenge. Dedicated to Canadian and American karters, the new elite race series will fill a void for those racers looking for major nationally recognized events to compete in during the summer months of the 2013 season.
Round 2 of the series brings its speed and driving exhibition to the historic .7 tenths of mile twist and turn of the Pat’s Acres Racing Complex in beautiful.Canby, Or on June 14th, 15th and 16th. The sports best will be on hand to compete for coveted Rotax Max Challenge “Golden Ticket”, an instant pass to the sport of kartings grandest and toughest events, the Rotax Max Grand Finals which for the first time, in series history, going to be held on American soil in New Orleans later this year.
Drivers that finish in top two positions in 8 specified Rotax Max divisions, earn themselves and their race team a pass enabling them a direct opportunity to qualify in the sports most prestigious event.
The concept was formulated by veteran Rotax driver/supporter Mike Rolison, a former United States Grand Nationals champion and Team USA member, who will act as the series administrator. “The idea of our series is to create a strong program that Rotax Max Challenge and SKUSA competitors can relate to. We have a large number of top racers in the regional area, however, their options to race have become more limited year after year” Informed Rolison. “The season would begin with racers attending winter International programs and then returning back home and having to wait for a Grand Nationals or Pan American event. We wanted to fill that void with a series that would give Northwest drivers and race teams a chance to compete in a series closer to home and still be recognized nationally and that operated down to the letter just like the national winter International program events that they would travel to compete in.”
